NCERT - The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) was established with the agenda of designing and supporting a common system of education for the nation, which enables and encourages the expression of the diverse culture of India. CBSE, and many other state education boards prescribes the textbooks of NCERT in their school course curriculum.

The curriculum developed by NCERT is carefully designed after thorough research. NCERT designs the books for Classes 1 to 12th in a simple and comprehensive language for the students. The National Council of Educational Research and Training was established in 1961. NCERT was registered as a society on June 6, 1961, and the establishment of the council was announced by the Government of India on July 27, 1961. The NCERT started working formally on September 1, 1961.
