About NSO 2025
SOF NSO 2025-26 - The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is responsible for conducting the SOF NSO exam. The foundation conducts the exam in two levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Students studying in Classes 1 to 12 can apply for the SOF NSO 2025-26 level 1 exam. Whereas the NSO level 2 exam is held for students from classes 3 to 12. SOF NSO 2025-26 registration is typically concluded 30 days before the exam date. Students can register through their respective schools.
- The SOF conducted the NSO 2025-26 level 1 exam on November 13, November 27, and December 11, 2025, for Set A, Set B, and Set C, respectively.
- The SOF released the NSO answer key for Set A and Set B on December 16, 2025, and December 27, 2025, respectively. The Set C answer key was released on January 2, 2026.
- The SOF NSO results is released online on January 12, 2026, through the official website, sofworld.org.
- The exam is held in offline mode for a duration of 1 hour.
- The level 2 exam date for SOF NSO 2025-26 is announced. The SOF NSO 2nd-level exam 2026 will be conducted for students of Classes 3 to 12 who qualify for the Level 1 examination. In India, the exam will be held on February 8, 2026, for all regions except Maharashtra, while students from Maharashtra will appear on February 15, 2026. For international participants, the IMO 2nd level exam will take place between February 9 and February 20, 2026.

- Students enrolled in classes 1 to 12 are eligible to apply for SOF NSO 2025-26 through their respective years.
- A student can apply for the exam once a year.
- A minimum of 10 students should register from each school for the NSO exam 2025-26.
- The organising body sends the prospectus of SOF NSO 2025-26 containing registration forms to all schools registered with SOF.
- Students need to contact their respective schools to fill out the NSO application form.
- The schools will then return the duly filled registration forms to SOF along with the application fees within the dates specified.
- The students' roll numbers will be generated by the coordinating teacher appointed in each school.
- They will also send a copy of the roll numbers of students.
- At least 10 students must be registered from each school for the NSO exam 2025-26.

the date for the NSO result has not been officially declared by the authorities but as per the information the NSO is likely to declare its results in march 2025 , of the level 2 exam which was held on February 9 2025 .
