IMO Exam 2025-26 - The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) conducts the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) for students of classes 1 to 12. Students' knowledge of logical reasoning, mathematical reasoning, and everyday mathematics is tested through the SOF International Mathematics IMO Level 1 exam. The foundation conducts level 2 exam for students studying from classes 3 to 12 who clear the SOF IMO level 1.
- The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) will conduct the International Mathematics Olympiad level 1 exam 2025-26 on three dates: November 12, November 28 and December 12, 2025.
- SOF will announce the IMO level 2 exam dates by January 2026.
- The foundation will also release the SOF IMO answer key after the examination. Students can use it to compare their answers with the correct ones and calculate the expected scores.
- The IMO results 2025-26 will be released online through the official website, sofworld.org.
- The application forms for the IMO exam 2025-26 are issued and submitted at the school level by paying the application fee of Rs 125. No fee is payable for students suffering from any major physical disability or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defense operations.
- Students are advised to prepare the IMO syllabus 2025-26 for level 1 to qualify for the exam with good marks.

IMO Important Dates
IMO International Mathematical Olympiad (session 2025)
There are no specific eligibility criteria for the IMO exam 2025-26.
- Students studying in Class 1 to 12 are eligible to apply for the SOF IMO 2025-26 exam.
- Level 1 Exam will be held for Class 1 to 12 students.
- Level 2 exams will be held for students from classes 3rd to 12th for SOF IMO.
There will be only one mode to apply for the IMO exam 2025-26 i.e. Offline. Interested students should contact their respective schools. The registration forms will be sent to the school authorities.
- Students must pay an application fee of Rs. 125 per student along with the application form.
- In the case of international students, US$9 is applicable per student. It must be remembered that no student can apply for the IMO 2025-26 registration independently.
- SOF will not accept any application form directly from students. Students should contact their respective schools for their registration.

International Mathematical Olympiad 2025
- The test duration for level 1 is 60 minutes.
- There will be a total of 35 objective-type questions (MCQs) for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type questions (MCQs) for class 5 to class 12.
- The medium of the SOF IMO exam 2025-26 is English.
- There are separate SOF IMO 2025-26 question papers for each class.
IMO exam 2025-26 consists of four sections-

IMO 2025 Syllabus
IMO International Mathematical Olympiad Syllabus
Science Olympiad Foundation releases IMO sample papers for students to make them aware of important aspects like marking scheme, type of questions asked, important topics, etc. Solving IMO 2025-26 sample papers also helps in learning time management skills. The International Maths Olympiad sample papers are created based on the recent exam pattern of the question papers. Students can check their preparation level by solving the IMO 2025-26 sample papers.
After the release of the IMO level 1 admit card, students can collect it from their respective school authorities. The admit card for the level II exams is expected to be released in February 2026. Students will be able to download the same by visiting the official website of SOF.
Science Olympiad Foundation IMO level 1 and level 2 answer keys will be released a few days after the exam. The IMO answer keys 2025-26 will contain the correct answers to each question asked in the IMO exam 2025-26. Students can calculate their estimated scores with the help of the IMO answer key.
- The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) will release the IMO result 2025-26 for level 1 in January 2026.
- Whereas, the IMO 2025-26 level 2 result are expected to be released in March 2026.
- Students can access the results for IMO online from the official website at sofworld.org.
- SOF will send the IMO 2025-26 result and Student Performance Report (SPR) to school authorities.

Science olympiad foundation conducts the IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad ) for classes 1 to 12. IMO exam is conducted in 2 levels. Level 1 is for classes 1 to 12 and Level 2 is for classes 3 to 12 who qualify in level 1.
SOF also accepts individual registration. Each student has to pay INR 50 for those who pay individually.
- They conducted the exam in an online mode for 1 hr.
- IMO level 1 (set A) will conduct on 4th and 5th of December,2021.
- IMO level 1 (set B) will conduct on the 24th and 26th of December, 2021
- IMO level 1 (set C) will conduct on the 8th and 9th of January, 2022.
- IMO level 2 will conduct in January 2022
