Subject-wise ICSE 10th Syllabus 2025-26

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2025-26 for English

The English exam includes two papers, namely, English Language & Literature. Both papers comprise 100 marks each, including 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. Students have to solve each paper within a 2-hour duration. Check the ICSE Class 10 English language and literature syllabus below-

Paper 1- English Language

In Paper 1, there will be 5 types of questions-

1. 300-350 word composition to evaluate the student's ability to describe, narrate, report and present ideas. The correct usage of punctuation, syntax, grammatical accuracy and spelling will also be assessed.
2. Write a formal or informal letter with the correct format and the body of the letter with emphasis on appropriate vocabulary, etc.
3. Write an email or short notice based on the provided information.
4. Unseen prose passage- Students have to answer the questions asked by reading the provided passage in about 500 words. They will be required to show an understanding of the words/phrases in the context in which they have been used.
5. Short answer type questions to evaluate candidates' knowledge of functional grammar, structure and English usage.

Paper 2- Literature in English

In this section, questions will be asked from the prescribed textbooks of Drama, Prose and Poetry-

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2025-26 for Maths

There will be one paper of two and a half hours duration carrying 80 marks. Internal Assessment shall carry 20 marks. The paper will be divided into two sections: Section I (40 marks) and Section II (40 marks)

There will be 7 units in the ICSE Class 10 Maths Syllabus 2025-26. Students must prepare every topic of the Maths ICSE Class 10 syllabus 2025-26 to score well.

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2025-26 for Biology

There will be one written paper of two hours duration of 80 marks, and an Internal Assessment of practical work carrying 20 marks. Biology is a theoretical examination where a student's retention ability will be tested. They have to memorise several facts and nomenclature to qualify for the exam with good marks.

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2025-26 for Physics

Physics is one of the imperative subjects in Class 10 ICSE for students who want to pursue a career in science and research later. The CISCE board carefully devises the syllabus for the Physics Class 10 ICSE syllabus 2025-26. There will be one written paper of two hours duration carrying 80 marks and an Internal Assessment of practical work carrying 20 marks.

The ICSE Geography paper will consist of 2 parts, Part I and Part II of two hours duration, carrying 80 marks. There will be an internal assessment for 20 marks, as mentioned in the syllabus of Class 10 ICSE.
