ICSE 10th Syllabus 2026 for English
The English exam includes two papers, namely, English Language & Literature. Both papers comprise 100 marks each, including 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. Students have to solve each paper within a 2-hour duration. Check the ICSE Class 10 English language and literature syllabus below-
Paper 1- English Language
In Paper 1, there will be 5 types of questions-
- 300-350 word composition to evaluate the student's ability to describe, narrate, report and present ideas. The correct usage of punctuation, syntax, grammatical accuracy and spelling will also be assessed.
- Write a formal or informal letter with the correct format and the body of the letter with emphasis on appropriate vocabulary, etc.
- Write an email or short notice based on the provided information.
- Unseen prose passage- Students have to answer the asked questions by reading the provided passage in about 500 words. They will be required to show an understanding of the words/phrases in the context in which they have been used.
- Short answer type questions to evaluate candidates' knowledge of functional grammar, structure and English usage.

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2026 for Maths
There will be one paper of two and a half hours duration carrying 80 marks. Internal Assessment shall carry 20 marks. The paper will be divided into two sections, Section I (40 marks), and Section II (40 marks)

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2026 for Biology
There will be one written paper of two hours duration of 80 marks, and an Internal Assessment of practical work carrying 20 marks. Biology is a theoretical examination where a student's retention ability will be tested. They have to memorise several facts and nomenclature to qualify for the exam with good marks.
