The NMMS exams are conducted at the state level by SCERTs or Education departments in an offline format. To be eligible for the NMMS scholarship 2025-26, students must pass the 8th class with a minimum required score. There will be two sections in the NMMS Exam: MAT and SAT. It takes 90 minutes to complete each of these papers, and each paper carries 90 marks. Students who pass the NMMS scholarship exam and are selected in the merit list will receive an NMMS scholarship amount of Rs 12000 per year from Class 9 to 12.
NMMS Scholarship Application on NSP Portal
Students who are selected in the merit list will have to register on the NSP portal to get the NMMS scholarship amount. During Class 9, they need to register as fresh and while in Class 10, 11 and 12, they will need to renew their NMMS scholarship scheme 2025.

NMMS Full Form
The NMMS exam full form is National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. MHRD conducts the NMMS scholarship exam 2025-26 for the students of Class 8 in November/December/January. NMMS Scholarship 2025-26 - Scholarship Amount
The NMMS Scholarship is awarded to a total of 1,00,000 students every year. This scheme was initiated in the year 2008 to help and provide financial support to academically talented students from economically weaker sections of society. The deserving students receive an amount of Rs 12,000 per annum. Any student who has a minimum score of 55% in the class 8 final exams is eligible to apply for the NMMS scholarship exam.
NMMS Scholarship Exam Eligibility Criteria
A student must pass Class 8 with a passing score of 55% (or 50% for SC/ST students) to be eligible for the NMMS 2025 Scholarship exam.
The student family's total annual income from all sources cannot be more than Rs. 3,50,000
The NMMS scholarship is available only to students who are studying in India.

NMMS Scholarship 2025-26 - Eligibility Criteria for Continuation of Scholarship
Along with selection, the student must score at least 55% mark (5% relaxation for reserved categories) in the Class 8 examination to get a Scholarship in Class 9.
Students must pass Class 9 to get a scholarship in Class 10.
He/she must secure 60% marks in Class 10 (5% relaxation for reserved categories) to get a scholarship in Class 11.
Must pass Class 11 to get a scholarship in Class 12.

NMMS Exam Pattern 2025-26
