Students applying for admission to JMI school in Classes 6, 9 and 11 have to submit their previous class marksheet.
The percentage of marks will be calculated as per the CBSE curriculum.
Internal students will be admitted to class 11 (Science/Commerce/Arts) based on merit and marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
For admission to Classes 6 and 9, students have to submit their birth certificate issued by the previous school.

30% of the total seats in each course shall be earmarked for Muslim applicants.
For Muslim women applicants, a total of 10% of seats will be reserved in each course.
10% of the total number of seats in each course will be reserved for the applicants of “Other Combined Prospectus of Jamia Schools Backwards Classes” (OBC) and the Scheduled Tribes who are Muslims (as per the notified list of the Central Government).
A total of 5% of seats will be reserved for Differently-abled Persons.
Kashmiri Migrants: Students applying under this category will get a maximum of 5% of the total seats in the programme. For admission, students will have to submit a certificate to prove they are Kashmiri migrants. The certificate can be obtained from the registered Divisional Commissioner of the concerned state/union territory.
Jammu and Kashmir: Students from Jammu and Kashmir will get 2 seats in each class and stream offered by the school. For admission, they will have to submit a state-domicile certificate in support of their claim of being from J&K.
Jamia Millia Islamia School provides admission to classes 9 and 11 students under the sports quota. Students who have represented their region/ state/ nation at senior/ junior/ sub-junior level in the preceding two years and have passed the entrance examination are eligible to apply for the Jamia Millia Islamia school admission under the sports category.
