WBCHSE New Syllabus 2026 - The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has continued its curriculum reforms into the 2025–26 academic session. The WB HS syllabus 2026 for all subjects can be found on the official website: wbchse.wb.gov.in. Following the phased introduction of the semester-wise syllabus structure, the semester system is now officially being implemented for both Class 11 and Class 12 students from this session onward. Students appearing for the West Bengal 12th exams 2026 will follow the revised WBCHSE full syllabus under the semester system.

The WB HS 2026 exam dates have already been announced by the Council. The WB Class 12 board exams will be conducted from February 12 to February 27, 2026. Students are advised to begin their preparation early in alignment with the updated curriculum.
In the previous academic session (2024-25), WBCHSE had made minor revisions to various Higher Secondary subjects including English A & B, Bengali A, Hindi A & B, History, Political Science, Accountancy, Costing & Taxation, Business Studies, Education, Science of Well-being, Statistics, Philosophy, Environmental Studies, Economics, Geography, and Biological Science. Students can expect the upcoming 2026 syllabus to reflect the continued alignment with the semester format and further curriculum improvements.
New Subjects Added to WB HS Curriculum
The Council introduced several new subjects in the West Bengal H.S. Class from the academic year 2025-26. Check the list of those subjects:

The West Bengal Board examination comprises both a theoretical paper and a practical/project component. The WBBSE theory exam carries a weightage of 80 marks, while the practical or project work accounts for 20 marks.
