There are many scholarships available for students who have passed the HSLC examination from the Assam board. The Government of Assam and several other organisations offer a wide range of scholarships to deserving students. These scholarships provide financial assistance to students who cannot afford higher education after completing class 10th. It is one of the most popular schemes offered by the Government of Assam. Any student who has passed the Class 10th examination with first division and “start marks”, i.e., 75% from the SEBA board, can apply for this scheme. The Directorate of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare offer the Tea Tribe Scholarship for students who have completed their class 10th from the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community category. The scholarship is offered to support the eligible students who are capable of continuing studies after 10th but can't because of financial problems. The NEC Merit scholarship is for the North East students only. The scholarship is for studies in India only. Any student who is a permanent resident of any of the North-Eastern States can apply for this scholarship. To apply for this scholarship, students can visit the official website of NSP, scholarships.gov.in.
Students must score at least 60% in the HSLC examination from a recognised state/central board.

The family's annual income must not exceed Rs 8 lakh.
The Department of Higher Education, Assam offer the Combined Merit Scholarship for UG students. Any student who has scored a minimum 60% in the Higher Secondary examination can apply for the Combined Merit Degree Scholarship scheme. The scheme will provide financial assistance of Rs 450 per month. After completing HSLC, students can also apply for Post-Matric Scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal. The NSP registration dates for the post-matric scholarship are announced through the official website, scholarships.gov.in. The registration for Post Matric scholarships through NSP has started. The last date to submit applications is October 31, 2025. Students are advised to visit the website and start applying for the scholarship.
There are many different scholarships available at NSP. Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria. Students can feel free to apply for any scholarship based on eligibility. They are advised to visit the website and read the eligibility criteria for each post-metric scholarship first and then apply for it.
Students from these six minority communities, namely Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi (Zoroastrian), who are enrolled in educational institutions in India and meet the other criteria outlined, are eligible to seek the scholarship.
Students will receive a post-matric scholarship if their parents' or guardians' yearly income from all sources is not more than INR 2,50,000. They need to provide an income certificate when they join courses that last for more than one year.
Students who pursue their education through correspondence/distance/online education system are also eligible.
Eligibility Criteria for Students with Disabilities:
Must be a citizen of India.
Students who have a disability with at least 40% impairment and possess a disability certificate issued by a qualified medical authority are eligible.
A family can get benefits for up to two disabled children. If the second child is a twin, both twins will be eligible for the scholarship under the post-matric scheme.
The scholarship for any class is valid for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, they will not receive the scholarship for the second or subsequent years.

Yes, the Assam board is expected to release the Assam HSLC topper list along with the Assam HSLC result . If the board releases the toppers list, you will be able to check it on the official website, sebaonline.org.
To pass the Assam HSLC exams , students must score at least 30% marks in each subject and achieve an overall aggregate of 30%. This includes both theory and practical components where applicable. Meeting these criteria qualifies the student for a passing score in the examination.
After the announcement of the Assam HSLC result, the Assam board opens the window for the rechecking process. If you are not satisfied with your result, you can visit the official website, fill out the Assam HSLC revaluation process application form and submit it along with the required fee.
For qualifying for the Anundoram Borooah Award, the candidate needs to get 75% or more in HSLC to get the rewards which you've clearly done that. So first of all congratulations on your achievement. Secondly, No it will not reject your application.
Suppose you didn't had your own bank account. What would you do then? Obviously one will give the bank account of your parents. The name on the Admit card will be yours and that of on the Bank account will be your parents. No match right?! So, it will not make an issue if the name on your Admit Card and your Bank account doesn't match. They will not reject your application for the Award.
