SOF IMO Level 1 Results 2025 Announced; Know What's Next
The Science Olympiad Foundation declared the IMO result 2024-25 on January 11, 2025. Now, students can check their IMO level 1 results online on sofworld.org. Selected students of Class 1 and 2 will get their awards as per SOF norms. Classes 3 to 12 selected students will have to compete in level 2 of the IMO exam which was held on February 9, 2025. The results for the IMO level 2 exam will be declared in March 2025.
Students can view their level 1 scorecard and know if they are selected to appear for the level 2 exam. They must note that the IMO syllabus for level 2 is the same as the level 1 exam, so they need to prepare with the same study material. After a few days of SOF results, the foundation will provide a student performance report (SPR).
What after IMO Results 2024-25?
Class 1 to 2 students will get their SOF Olympiad awards as per their performance in the IMO level 1 exam. Selected students of Classes 3 to 12 will be eligible to appear for the level 2 exam. They can practice with IMO sample papers to analyse their exam preparation.
What is the IMO Level 2 Exam Date?
Level 2 exam date for the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) was February 9, 2025. SOF has also mentioned that if the level 2 exam is not conducted due to any reason, then the level 1 exam results will be treated as final.
Who is Selected for the Level 2 Exam?
Class 3 to 12 students are selected for level 2 exam as per IMO ranking and level 2 qualification criteria:
- Class-wise top 5% of the level 1 students are selected for the level 2 exam.
- From each Zone - top 25 rank holders from each class.
- Class topper from each participating school & score at least 50% qualifying marks. A minimum of 10 students from a class must have appeared in the exam.
How to check Level 1 IMO result 2025?
Students can follow the below steps to learn more about how to check the IMO level 1 result online.
- Step 1: Visit the official website at results.sofworld.org.
- Step 2: Click on the “IMO result 2024-25” link on the home page.
- Step 3: Enter the roll number in the specified format “school code-class-section-roll-number” in the result declaration window.
- Step 4: Answer the question of the security math.
- Step 5: Click on the “View Results” button.
- Step 6: The International Mathematical Olympiad results will be displayed on the screen including the section-by-section scores and students can also check out the qualifying status.
- Step 7: Save the IMO result PDF, take a printout of the same and save it for future reference.
Tie Resolving Criteria in IMO Level 1 exam
In the case of a tie of marks, ranks are determined based on the marks scored in different sections. A higher rank will be awarded to the student who scores higher marks in sections in high-priority sections. Here is the section-wise priority of the IMO level 1 exam:
