Odisha 10th Exam Pattern 2026 for First Language Subjects

The Odisha Class 10th exam pattern 2026 for First Language subjects (Odia, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, English) is divided into two sections: Objective and Subjective.

• Objective Paper: It consists of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each worth 1 mark, for a total of 50 marks.

• Subjective Paper: This includes five questions, each carrying 10 marks, totalling 50 marks:

Q1: Alternative questions from Prose and Poetry (5 marks each).

Q2: Explanations from Prose and Poetry with alternatives (5 marks each).

Q3: Essay writing (200 words, three alternatives) – 10 marks.

Q4: Letter writing (100 words, two alternatives) and Application writing (100 words, two alternatives) – 5 marks each.

Q5: Unseen Passage (answer in one or two sentences) – 10 marks.

The HSC Odisha exam pattern for Second Language English consists of two parts: the Objective Paper and the Subjective Paper.
