    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the guidelines for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2025-26 on August 27, 2025. However, as per the 2026 draft scheme, the board will conduct the CBSE board exam twice a year for class 10, the first exam from February 17 to March 10, 2026, and the second exam from May 15 to June 1, 2026. The CBSE board increased the examination fee for class 10 as per the two exam systems.

    The fee will be collected at the time of filling the CBSE LOC for the first time, which would be non-refundable if paid.     CBSE Class 10 Board Exam Fee 2025-26

    The board released the CBSE 10th exam fee details for the academic year 2025-26. For class 10, the examination fees will be collected twice as per the two exam systems. We have provided the CBSE 10th exam fee structure in the following table.

    CBSE will soon streamline the process for submission of exam fees through digital modes, making it convenient for schools and students. Schools are required to ensure the timely submission of exam fees to avoid late penalties. Mentioned below are the key details:

    • Late Fees: A late fee of INR 2,000 is applicable for candidates submitting their exam forms after the deadline.

    • SC/ST Fee Concession: There is a special concession for SC/ST students from Delhi Government schools.

    • Foreign Schools: The fees for students studying in schools located outside India are significantly higher compared to schools in India.

    • Online Payment Only: The CBSE fee will be accepted only through online payment. Offline payment modes, such as direct bank deposits or other methods, will not be accepted. Any fees paid in offline mode will not be updated in the school's accounts, which may result in the LOC not being accepted by the CBSE Board.

    The Central Board of Secondary Education charges fees for issuing important documents such as mark sheets, certificates, and migration certificates.
