In the Tamil Nadu Plus One supplementary examination, internal assessment carries a maximum of 10 marks, and practicals account for 20 marks, neither of which has a minimum qualifying score; students are only required to participate in the practical exam. The written TN HSE +1 supply theory portion is worth 70 marks, with a minimum of 15 marks needed in theory and at least 35 marks overall (combining theory, practical, and internal) to pass. Thus, to successfully clear the 100‑mark subject, a student must secure 35 marks in total, meeting both the theory threshold and the aggregate pass mark.
