    As per the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala (DHSE Kerala), students must secure a minimum of a D+ grade in aggregate to pass the Kerala Plus Two exam 2026. The DHSE board examination, consisting of a theory and practical paper, will be held for 100 marks in total.

    For subjects with practicals, marks are distributed as 60 marks for theory and 40 for practicals, while for subjects without practicals, the distribution is 80 marks for the theory paper and 20 marks for the internal assessment.     Kerala Plus Two Grading System 2026

    As per the Kerala Plus Two official notice, the grading system is based on the combined scores from the first and second-year examinations.

    • To pass the examination, students must score 30% or a D+ grade in each subject and aggregate.

    • The 30% of the total score is a minimum of 60 marks out of 200 (total score in the combination of CE+PE+TE) or 30 marks out of 100 (first/second year per subject score).
