Passing Criteria for the Haryana Open Board Examination

For the 10th class, a minimum score of 33% must be achieved in five compulsory subjects: Hindi, English, Math, Social Science, and Science and Technology. The sixth subject, elective courses such as Sanskrit, Punjabi, Urdu, Home Science, Physical Education, and Computer Science are available but not mandatory.

For Senior Secondary level students, a candidate must achieve a minimum of 33% in each subject and an overall aggregate score of 33%. Also, for subjects that include practical subjects, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 33% in both the theory and practical portions.

Grace Marks in HOS Result 2024

• If a student falls 1% short of meeting the qualification criteria for a subject, they will receive an additional 1% in the form of grace marks.
• These grace marks can be granted for both theory and practical exams, in accordance with the relevant provisions.

Haryana Open Board Result 2024 for Supplementary Exams

The candidate will be assigned to the RE-APPEAR/CTP category for subjects in which they have not met the qualification requirements. They will have a total of six opportunities, including the main exam, to improve their performance. In the case of new candidates, if they are unable to qualify after using twelve chances, they will not be eligible for the CTP program.

If a candidate does not qualify for either the theory paper or practical paper, they must re-take only the specific paper in which they failed. This means if they fail the theory paper, their previously attained practical marks will still be considered and vice-versa. However, these marks will only be valid for one year.
