    The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) conducts the Maha HSC examination. Students can check out the information related to the Maharashtra Board HSC passing marks and grace marks on the official website, mahahsscboard.in. The MSBSHSE will declare the Maharashtra HSC board results in May 2026. Any student who could not score 35% or failed the examination by 2 or 3 marks will receive the benefit of Maha board HSC grace marks.     MSBSHSE Grace Marks for HSC Students

    • To pass the MSBSHSE HSC examination, students must score a minimum of 35% marks in all subjects.

    • For subjects with two papers or one paper and one practical, the marks will be added together for a pass, credit or distinction.

    • A deficiency of up to 15 marks in total will be imposed on students if they fail in one or more subjects. However, they must take the examination in one sitting. The grace mark is limited to a maximum of three subjects only.

    • Students who appear with exemptions will be granted a concession of a maximum of 8 marks based on the number of subjects they failed.

    Maha Board Special Grace Marks for Sports Participation

    Any candidate who has participated in any sports or games in India or abroad at the state, national level, or international level in the same academic year will get a concession of 10 marks, which can be extended to 15 marks.

    • However, the request for an extension of grace marks must be made by the student concerned through the respective head of the Junior college.

    • The application for extension of condonation of marks must be submitted to the Divisional Secretary of the respective board within one month of the result declaration.

    • Along with the application, they must submit a certificate from the District Sports Officer.

    Yes, you can change your subject as an HSC repeater in Maharashtra Board. But it depends on the subject you want to change. If it is a compulsory subject, you cannot change it.
