The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is responsible for conducting the Maha SSC examination 2025. To pass the MSBSHSE exam, students must score at least 35% marks in each subject and aggregate. Students who fail in one or more subjects will get the benefit of grace marks provided by the board to pass the students who failed due to 2 or 3 marks. Maharashtra Board SSC General Passing Criteria
Students who appeared for the MSBSHSE SSC exam must secure at least a “C” grade or 35% marks in each subject to pass the Maharashtra board SSC examination. Check out the minimum marks required below:
Students must score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in language and social science subjects.
For subjects with practicals, like science and maths, they must score a minimum of 52 marks out of 150.
For subjects with more than one paper or practicals, the marks will be added together to determine the overall outcome.

MSBSHSE Grace Marks for SSC Students
Students who appear for the exam without requesting special exemptions or fall short of the required passing marks by 2 or 3 marks in one or more subjects are eligible for condonation of marks.
However, students appearing with exemptions will be granted an automatic condonation of a maximum of 13 marks for passing the Maha SSC examination. The marks will be divided in proportion to the number of subjects of failure but it cannot exceed 3 marks in any one subject.
The Maharashtra board offers this benefit to help students who came close to passing but couldn't meet the exact requirements. It saves them from wasting their academic year or reappearing for the examination.
No condonation marks/grace marks will be given to students who fail in technical or other optional subjects.
If a student cannot pass even after applying for condonation marks will be considered ineligible for the benefit.
