Students who fail in one subject in the UP Board 12th exams are eligible to apply for the 2025 compartment exams, providing them a second opportunity to pass those specific subjects. However, failing in more than one subject means the student is considered to have failed the board exam outright and cannot sit for the compartment, potentially requiring them to repeat the entire year
Additionally, those who are unhappy with their marks, even in passed subjects, can take improvement exams to enhance their scores. Applications for both the compartment and improvement exams can be submitted either online through the UPMSP website (upmsp.edu.in) or offline via their school. The application process has now closed for the academic year 2024-25.

Yes, you can take pcmb.the UP Board does allow students to choose all four science subjects:
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
Biology
This combination is commonly called PCMB, and it's available in many government and private intermediate colleges affiliated with UP Board.
