To prepare well, it’s important to go a little beyond your school syllabus and try to practice application-based and analytical questions. If you’re studying in Class 6–10, start by revising your NCERT or State Board textbooks. Make sure you understand each topic well. Don’t just memorize, try to connect the concepts with real-life examples, and it will help you better in your exam.Now coming to books here are some good ones that are helpful for NSTSE:

MTG Foundation Course Books, Science and Mathematics, these are great for concept clarity. Unified Olympiad Books by Unified Council , specially designed for NSTSE and other Olympiads.Workbooks or practice sets offered by MTG, Arihant, and Oswaal are good for regular mock tests.

Also, solving previous years’ papers and sample questions is very helpful. You get a clear idea of the question pattern, and you’ll feel more confident during the exam. You need to solve previous years' papers and sample papers for better understanding and time management.

The National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) for the 2024-2025 session offers two modes of participation: offline and online. The offline exams, conducted through schools, were held on December 4 and 13, 2024. For students opting for direct registration, the online exam is scheduled for February 2, 2025. The National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) is an annual assessment conducted by the Unified Council , focusing on Mathematics and Science for students from classes 1 to 12 . As of December 2024, over 12 million students have participated in NSTSE exams since its inception .

For the 2024-25 academic year , the NSTSE offline examination for classes 2 to 10 was held on December 4, 2024, and December 13, 2024.  However, specific data regarding the number of students who appeared for the class 7 examination on December 4, 2024 , is not publicly available .

Yes, you can still register for the NSTSE (National Level Science Talent Search Examination) 2024. The last date for registration is November 30, 2023 . The exam is scheduled for January 2024, with separate dates for offline (through schools) and online modes.

To register, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official Unified Council website: Unified Council (https://www.unifiedcouncil.com) .
  2. Click on "Online Registration of Individual Students" for NSTSE.
  3. Fill in your details, select your class, and complete the payment (Rs. 300-Rs. 354, depending on options selected).

No, you cannot appear for IOEL (International Olympiad of English Language), NSTSE (National Science Talent Search Examination), or IOQM (Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics) after passing Class 12. These exams are specifically designed for school students up to Class 12. Once you pass Class 12 in 2024, you become ineligible for these exams, even if you try in the same or the next year. These competitions aim to identify talent among school students only.
