To gain an advantage over the other candidates, exam experts give the following tips and tricks. These tips and tricks will help you succeed in iiO 2026 by giving you insights on how to study smartly and manage your time according to the study plan.

                                                • Know the syllabus: Knowing the syllabus is very important to prepare for iiO 2026 as this will help you understand which topics are important and on which topics you should pay less attention.
                                                • Study Plan: Study plans are important because they give a broad timeline to your whole day so that you don't spend your time idle. Making a study plan helps you allocate time to every subject equally and accordingly.
                                                • Know the relevant books: Knowing the books from where you can extract information is another important aspect in the preparation of the International Informatics Olympiad. The syllabus of iiO is very broad and includes the syllabus of CBSE/ICSE board textbooks but studying from additional books will be helpful for you.
                                                • Practice Sample Papers: Practicing from mock tests and sample papers gives you an insight on the type of questions that will be asked by the exam. Practising sample papers also helps you in time management and accuracy.
                                                • Understand the standard of questions: Understanding what a question is asking is learned through practice and deep analysis of the levels on which a particular question is working. In iiO 2026, the questions are tricky and sometimes ask something that is written between the lines. Thus, it is important to understand the standard of questions.

Admit Card is important to carry on the exam day. Students are allowed to sit in the exam if they are not carrying the admit card on the date of the exam. Even after giving the exam, the admit card is a must to get your report card as the enrollment no. is written on the admit card. Students will gain the admit card from their school authorities after their registration with the Silverzone Foundation.

The Silverzone Foundation will release the IIO answer key within 30 days after the exam. Candidates can visit the foundation's official website at silverzone.org/answer-key to access and download the Silverzone answer key
