Due to the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) being conducted on multiple dates (September 7 and September 28, 2025), a normalisation process is applied to ensure fairness for all candidates. The average score of all candidates who appeared on the first exam date (September 7, 2025) is used as the reference score. The average score of the students who appeared on the second exam date (September 28, 2025) is calculated separately. The scores from the second exam are then scaled up by a common factor so that their average matches the average of the first group. Learn more about IOQM Normalisation here.
More than 10,000 students from various regions and schools will be selected based on the IOQM results 2025-26 to proceed to the next stage of the examination. The selection criteria are outlined below:
The IOQM cutoff marks 2025-26 are announced separately for every state/JNVs/KVs. Students can find their roll number in the merit list if they achieve the Pre-RMO cut-off score. The students who have qualified in the IOQM 2024 will be eligible for RMO selection.
