    The CBSE Class 10 Board exams 2025 difficulty level is expected to remain the same as in previous years. Based on analysis of previous year's papers, the difficulty level of the CBSE 10th examinations generally falls within the moderate to easy range. The majority of questions are of moderate difficulty, with some easy questions and a limited number of questions classified as difficult.

    Last Year CBSE Class 10 Exam Analysis

    CBSE Class 10 Science Paper Analysis

    The CBSE Class 10 Science exam was conducted on March 2, 2024. The CBSE paper was moderately difficult, with no out-of-syllabus questions. Approximately 70% of the questions were directly from the NCERT textbook. The multiple-choice questions were moderately challenging and required conceptual understanding. Case-based questions were also found to be of easy to moderate difficulty. Students generally perceived the CBSE 10th science paper to be easier.

    CBSE Class 10 Maths Paper Analysis

    The CBSE conducted Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic exams on March 11, 2024. Students reported the paper's difficulty level as easy to moderate. The CBSE maths question paper, divided into 5 sections and containing 38 questions, was found to be easier than the CBSE-released sample paper. While the overall paper was manageable in terms of time, section E was reported to be slightly time-consuming. Case-study-based questions were considered easy. The questions were based on the NCERT textbook.

    CBSE Class 10 Hindi Paper Analysis

    The CBSE Class 10 Hindi Paper was successfully administered on February 21, 2024. Students reported that both Hindi A and Hindi B papers were easy, although the overall paper was slightly lengthy. The paper was divided into two sections: Section A, which comprised objective questions and was found to be easy, and Section B, which contained subjective questions. Students felt that Section B was time-consuming due to its descriptive nature. However, Section B was considered to be of moderate difficulty.

    CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper Analysis

    The CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper, held on March 7, 2024, was reported to be of easy to moderate difficulty. The exam was considered easier compared to the sample paper and previous year's papers. The paper was not lengthy, allowing students to complete it on time. Most questions were directly from the NCERT textbooks. Several questions were repeated from the CBSE 10th sample paper and previous year's papers. Map-based questions were found to be very easy, while case-study-based questions were reported to be slightly more challenging.

    However, there are changes made in the CBSE 10 exam pattern, type of questions, or sections. These changes are designed to assess students' understanding and application of concepts more effectively.

    Changes Announced by CBSE

    These changes reflect CBSE's efforts to move away from rote learning and promote a deeper understanding of concepts among students.

    • Reduced Short-Answer Questions: The number of short-answer questions (both short and long) will be reduced.

    • Increased Focus on Competency-Based Questions: The emphasis will shift towards competency-based questions, such as multiple-choice questions, source-based questions, and case-study-based questions. These question types aim to assess students' analytical and critical thinking skills.

    • Higher Internal Assessment Weightage: The weightage of internal assessments will be increased, emphasizing continuous evaluation throughout the academic year.

    • No Syllabus Reduction: Contrary to some reports, CBSE has clarified that there will be no further reduction in the CBSE Class 10 syllabus for the 2025 board exams.
