How to Calculate CBSE 10th Percentage 2025
To calculate the CBSE 10th percentage, students have to choose the best 5 out of 6 subjects. Below, we have provided simple steps on how to calculate the CBSE 10th percentage.
Firstly, add all your grade points (top 5) for the subjects you took in the board exams.
After that, divide the total by 5. The result will be your CGPA.
For a percentage, multiply your overall CGPA by 9.5.
For example:
If your grade points for the five main subjects are: 9, 8, 9, 9, and 7, then
Step 1: Add the grade points: 9+8+9+9+7 = 42
Step 2: Divide it by 5; 42/5 = 8.4
Your CGPA will be 8.4.
To convert it into a percentage, multiply the overall CGPA by 9.5.
Thus, 8.4 x 9.5 = 79.80%
