How to Calculate CBSE 10th Percentage 2025

To calculate the CBSE 10th percentage, students have to choose the best 5 out of 6 subjects. Below, we have provided simple steps on how to calculate the CBSE 10th percentage.

  • Firstly, add all your grade points (top 5) for the subjects you took in the board exams.

  • After that, divide the total by 5. The result will be your CGPA.

  • For a percentage, multiply your overall CGPA by 9.5.

For example:

  • If your grade points for the five main subjects are: 9, 8, 9, 9, and 7, then

  • Step 1: Add the grade points: 9+8+9+9+7 = 42

  • Step 2: Divide it by 5; 42/5 = 8.4

  • Your CGPA will be 8.4.

  • To convert it into a percentage, multiply the overall CGPA by 9.5.

  • Thus, 8.4 x 9.5 = 79.80%
