The National Science Olympiad (NSO) syllabus for Class 9 has been released by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) for the 2025-26 session. The NSO Class 9 exam, conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), comprises 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed within one hour, carrying a total of 60 marks. The NSO paper is divided into three sections: Section 1: Logical Reasoning includes 10 questions worth 10 marks in total; Section 2: Science consists of 35 questions valued at 35 marks; and Section 3: Achievers Section features 5 challenging high-order thinking questions, each carrying 3 marks, summing up to 15 marks.

In NSO 9th Level 1 exams, approximately 60% of questions are based on the current class (Class 9) syllabus, while 40% draw from the Class 8 syllabus.
In SOF NSO Level 2 exams and the Achievers Section, all questions are based solely on the current class syllabus.
Students can check the NSO 9th exam pattern and prepare for the different sections accordingly. They must prepare for the scoring part beforehand.

the date for the NSO result has not been officially declared by the authorities but as per the information the NSO is likely to declare its results in march 2025 , of the level 2 exam which was held on February 9 2025 .
