JKBOSE Class 8 Date Sheet 2025 for Soft and Hard Zones
As per the latest notification released by the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE), starting from the current academic year 2024-25, each school will independently conduct the annual exams (summative assessments) for Class 8. The complete JKBOSE 8th date sheet 2025 is expected to be released in January 2025. Once the date sheet is released, students can download the JKBOSE Class 8th date sheet 2025 for soft and hard zones through the official website, jkbose.nic.in. The JKBOSE Class 8 exams will be conducted for the soft zone areas in March 2025, tentatively and the Class 8th exams for hard zones areas will be held in April 2025.

Last year, JK Board 8th Class date sheet was released on January 24, 2024. Students can download the JKBOSE date sheet 2025 online through the official website. They can follow the below-given steps to download the JKBOSE 8th exam dates 2025.
- Go to the official website, jkbose.nic.in.
- From the dashboard, click on the ‘Date Sheet’ tab.
- On the next window, look for the ‘Class 8 Date Sheet’ link.
- Click on the link and download the JKBOSE Class 8 date sheet 2025.
JKBOSE Soft Zone and Hard Zone
JKBOSE divides its exam schedule into two zones: soft zone and hard zone. This categorization is based on various factors like geographical location, security concerns, and infrastructure. Soft zone exams, held earlier in the year in areas with better infrastructure and security, have their dates announced in January.
Hard zone exams, on the other hand, are held later in the year in areas with potential challenges and are announced in February. JKBOSE releases separate date sheets for both zones and conducts them in different time frames, with the possibility of adjustments based on local conditions and security concerns.
Approximately 444 schools across Jammu and Kashmir, including seven zones in the Kargil district and the entire Ladakh region, have been categorised as 'hard zones.' In the Kashmir division, 155 schools from districts like Anantnag, Bandipora, Kupwara, Kulgam, and Budgam are designated as hard zones. Similarly, in the Jammu division, 251 schools from districts such as Kishtwar, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Ramban, and Udhampur are classified as hard zones.
