CBSE Full Form - CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education. It is a national-level educational board in India that is affiliated with both public and private schools. CBSE is under the direct supervision of the Indian government. Every year, CBSE conducts national board examinations for students in classes 10th and 12th. The Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana, a cooperative board established by the Indian government, is where CBSE's history began. This board was established before India gained its independence in 1929. The areas covered by this board were Ajmer, Merwara, Gwalior, and central India at that time. The government gave this body the name Central Board of Secondary Education, which is currently known as the CBSE, in 1952.

In general, only students registered in CBSE-affiliated schools are permitted to sit for the class 10th AISSE and class 12th AISSCE exams.
These exams are open to students of any caste, creed, religion, economic status, sect, gender, tribe, or race.
The criteria for passing the CBSE 10th or 12th board exams are quite simple.
For Class 10th - To pass the CBSE Class 10th exam, students must receive at least 33 per cent in both theory and practical subjects.
For Class 12th - Students must receive at least 33 per cent marks in both theory and practical exams individually in order to pass the Class 12th CBSE board exam.
CBSE awards grades to students based on 9 point grading system. The board puts all the passed candidates in rank order, and the student's performance is rated using the following grading methodology:
