The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started the free psychological counselling services on February 1, 2025. The board will conduct the CBSE Psycho-Social counselling till April 4, 2025. CBSE has consistently offered psychological counselling before the examination and after the CBSE result announcements since 1998. The board offers 24/7 interactive voice response system (IVRS) service, tele-counseling services and podcasts/audio-visual content addressing stress management, student mental well-being, etc.
The primary aim is to ensure a stress-free environment for students in Classes 10 and 12 attending CBSE-affiliated schools during their examinations. CBSE stands out as the only board in the country providing widespread psychological counselling continuously for 26 years, employing innovative methods.
