The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the dates for the CBSE scholarship single girl child 2024 and the renewal of the CBSE single girl child scheme. The application process for a CBSE scholarship for a single girl child will start in October 2024 and the last date will fall in November. Students who have qualified in the CBSE Class 10 result and are studying in class 11 or 12 from a CBSE-affiliated school can apply for the CBSE scheme for single girl child. Verification of the student’s SGCS-X Application by the school (School Login)

After the completion of the application process by students, the school will verify the application. If the details are correct, the school will complete the further processing of the application and the status will be visible on the applicant dashboard. The steps of the school verification process are given below.

  • Go to the official website, cbse.gov.in

  • Click on the scholarship (छात्रवत्तृि) and then the ‘Guidelines and Application Forms 2024/Apply Online’ link.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 - Eligibility

The Single Girl Child Scholarship CBSE will be provided to only eligible students. The scholarship is valid for students who are only one girl child of their parents and fulfil other eligibility criteria:

  • She must be the only child of her parents.
  • She must score 60% or more marks in CBSE class 10 exams.
  • They should be studying in class 11 or 12 in a school affiliated with CBSE whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year.
  • In the coming two years, the fee should not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • The girl child must be a citizen of India.
  • CBSE board NRI applicants are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for NRI students must not exceed Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • Students can take other concessions given by schools along with this scholarship.

For Renewal

  • The candidate must have received the scholarship last year.
  • Attendance and good behavior are required for the continuation of the scholarship.
  • A scholarship canceled will not be renewed.
  • The tuition fee for class 10 should not be more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year.
  • In the coming two years, the fee should not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • CBSE will review the application and students must secure at least 50% marks in class 11 and promoted to class 12.
