CBSE Sports Calendar released on August 30, 2024, on the official website. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts sports competitions annually at the Cluster, Zonal, and National levels for students from its affiliated schools, categorising participants by age and gender.

Schools can participate in CBSE sports by registering their students through the online portal. The CBSE sports registration portal was opened on August 1, 2024, and will close on August 21, 2024. CBSE has announced an extension of the registration dates. The previous date of August 14, 2024, has now been revised to August 21, 2024. Selected students represent their school at different levels of competition from October 1, 2024, to October 22, 2024.

The national-level games are scheduled to take place from November 1, 2024, to November 15, 2024. Participants who excel at the cluster and zonal levels will earn the opportunity to compete in the national-level games within their designated categories. Students must submit their applications online through the official website before the deadlines established by the board.

How to Register Players for CBSE Games?

Schools will register students on the online portal. Those schools intending to participate in CBSE sports events should visit the CBSE website and complete the following 3 steps

Step 1 - Registration:

  • Schools have the option to enroll their students online by completing the form available on the official website.

  • Select the ‘Registration/Apply to Participate’ option.

  • A unique identification number (UID) will be generated for each student.

  • This registration process is required only once, and the same UID will remain in effect for all subsequent years while the student is enrolled in CBSE schools.

Step 2 - Apply to Participate:

  • Upon completing the student registration, it is essential to click on ‘Apply to Participate’ to enroll the student in any game.

  • This action is a prerequisite for participation in CBSE games.

  • If the registration is finalised without completing this step (Apply to Participate), the student or team will be ineligible to take part.

Step 3 - Send Confirmation to Organising School:

Upon the completion of the aforementioned steps, namely 'Register Student' and 'Apply to Participate', the participating schools are required to send an email to the organizing schools to confirm their participation. This confirmation should be sent at least one week before the event to allow the organising schools to make the necessary arrangements.

CBSE Games Registration Fees

CBSE sports registrations submitted after the specified deadline will be subject to a late fee. The fee structure is as follows:

  • A charge of Rs. 500/- per student will be applied for submissions made within 7 days of the deadline.

  • For submissions made between 8 to 14 days after the deadline, the fee will rise to Rs. 1000/- per student.

CBSE Games Registration- Age-Criteria

A participant must be under the ages of 11, 14, 17, and 19 as of December 31, 2024. Therefore, for the 2024-25 season, the age requirements will be established as follows:

  • Under 11 years: Individuals born on or after January 1, 2014

  • Under 14 years: Individuals born on or after January 1, 2011

  • Under 17 years: Individuals born on or after January 1, 2008

  • Under 19 years: Individuals born on or after January 1, 2006

Participation in CBSE National Level Sports

Participants who secure the first and second positions in all individual sports events, as well as only the winners (gold medalists) in all team games at the Cluster and Zonal levels, will qualify for the CBSE Nationals in each category and age group. However, for specific sports such as Chess (the top two teams), Shooting (the top two teams and the top five individuals), and Yogasana (the top two teams and the top five individuals), different criteria apply.

CBSE Games Registration-Medals and Certificates

All participants will receive Participation Certificates. Winners will be awarded Merit Certificates and Medals. These certificates will be made available in a digital format (PDF) online.

  • For Cluster/Zonal Level Certificates: The organising schools will record attendance and upload results on the CBSE Sports Portal. Subsequently, participating schools will have the opportunity to download the Cluster/Zonal Participation Certificates and Merit Certificates from the CBSE Sports Portal.

  • For National Level Certificates: Following the attendance marking and results uploading by the Cluster/Zonal organising schools, the National Organizing schools will also mark attendance and upload results to facilitate the generation of National Participation Certificates and Merit Certificates.

Other than sports activities, the board also provides psychological counseling before exams and after results.

Qualification: You must have graduated from an accredited board or at least passed the tenth grade. Higher qualifications are also accepted, such as a diploma, postgraduate degree, graduation, or 11th or 12th grade.

It should display your name, roll number, marks obtained, and any other relevant details in a readable forma.ALSO, the screenshot clearly show it is from the official CBSE results portal.
